Yesterday’s leaked comparison sheet was right on the money with Amazon today announcing its new range of Kindle Paperwhite e-readers that gain a host of useful new features, including a couple from the more experience Kindle Oasis. Prices for the base model start from $139, with a Signature Edition as well as a Kids Edition fleshing out the series.

The Kindle Paperwhite range gains a larger 6.8-inch display with 300ppi with 17 LEDs and sporting an adjustable warm light, with the Signature Edition also boasting auto-adjusting light sensors and wireless charging. Unlike the regular and Kids Edition Kindle Paperwhite devices that have 8GB of storage, the Signature Edition has 32GB. All three devices offer IPX8 water resistance and have USB-C charging ports which are so much more convenient than MicroUSB, with the Signature Edition also boasting wireless charging.

The Kids Edition is the same as the base model but costs $159 for which you’ll also get a device cover as well as a year’s subscription to Amazon Kids Plus which has thousands of books available to be read or listened to.

The Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition is priced at $189 and just like the other two models, it goes on sale on October 27th although you can already pre-order your device right now on Amazon.
