AMD’s 7nm Ryzen 5000 G-Series desktop processors are built with Zen 3 architecture

    AMD announced its Ryzen 5000 G-Series desktop processors today. The APUs are built with AMD’s Zen 3 architecture, feature on-chip graphics, and have 7nm processor core technology. With the processor’s on-chip graphics, they should be able to power 1080p gaming without requiring an additional GPU.

    In total, AMD announced six new APUs, the Ryzen 7 5700G, Ryzen 7 5700GE, Ryzen 5 5600G, Ryzen 5 5600GE, Ryzen 3 5300G, and Ryzen 3 5300GE. The GE versions have a TDP of 35W, while the G versions have a TDP of 65W.

    The new processors appear on AMD’s website now, but they’ll roll out to OEM systems in the coming weeks.
