Earlier this month, Microsoft and Innersloth revealed that Among Us would join the December Xbox Game Pass line-up for December 2021, the game is now available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles to purchase, and is free for Game Pass subscribers.
Among Us exploded in popularity during 2020, and while the game still has a dedicated fanbase playing it in 2021, developers Innersloth are still determined to improve and add more to the game. For example, it recently released a major patch that almost reinvented the game people played in 2020.
With the new patch, players can now be assigned roles such as Shapeshifter, Engineer, Scientist, and Guardian Angel. In addition, the game now rewards you for playing it via a level system and in-game currency, which you can use to buy cosmetics for your in-game character. The blog post of the announcement also revealed that achievements will be available.
The game has a minimal install size across all platforms and with the ability to crossplay with other people across PC, mobile platforms, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch, it’s a great addition to the Game Pass library. The game has also been available on PC Game Pass since earlier this year.
