Anker’s New SOLIX F3800 Plus Is the Power Station Your Home Needs

The smart energy company and your favorite portable charger brand, Anker, just launched an all-new SOLIX power station built to be the best whole-home backup solution. This week, Anker announced the SOLIX F3800 Plus, a 6,000W Power Station with increased solar input efficiency and better generator support when the sun goes down.

Building on the success of the original SOLIX F3800 from 2023, which was strong enough to run RVs or charge EVs, Anker’s upgraded “Plus” model incorporates a bunch of user feedback. The new Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus still offers a wild 6,000W of power, has the same wheels and telescopic handle, and all the ports you’d ever need.

Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus: What’s New

What makes the new SOLIX F3800 Plus special, aside from the huge power rating, are the changes to solar and gas generator input, not to mention a few new ports.

The Plus model increased solar input efficiency by 30%, from 2,400 to 3,200 watts, and features dual 165V solar inputs. This change allows up to eight 400W solar panels to charge the unit, ensuring you’ll have enough power to run all your gear (or the entire house) during a power outage or emergency. With such a huge 6,000W of power, regular solar panels took too long to charge the device, and now users have more options.

It wasn’t cheap, but it was cheaper.

More importantly, Anker knows that during power outages, keeping the lights on and the fridge running is essential. Unfortunately, sometimes bad weather makes solar charging impossible. Those who opt to wire the SOLIX F3800 Plus into their home will be happy to know that it now plays nicely with gas generators.

For example, when solar is not an option, the F3800 Plus offers seamless compatibility with 240V gas generators. Anker sells a generator input adapter that lets users recharge the entire power station in 1.5 hours with a gas generator. Sadly, the adapter is another $299, but it’ll be worth having.

Additionally, it supports a full 6,000W power bypass, meaning you can keep the SOLIX hooked up to the house and power everything with a generator during extended outages or poor weather conditions. So, when the power is out and you can’t use solar, you don’t have to unhook everything. Instead, it’s flexible enough to let owners fire up a generator and keep things going.

I love this idea and plan on replacing my current F3800 with the new Plus. Being able to recharge the entire power station in under 2 hours with a gas generator and then have silent on-demand power from the F3800 Plus sounds terrific. That’s the peace of mind I want living in Texas and its shoddy power grid.

Like the previous model, the new Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus delivers 3,480 watt-hours of power, but now you can daisy-chain up to 12 additional battery packs to meet any power demands. The old model only had support for six. Plus, it still has the 50A RV output, a spot to charge EVs, six 120V AC outlets, three 100W USB-C outlets, a bunch of USB-A ports, and more. Basically, this one device does it all and is a highly capable whole-home backup solution.

You can sign up to order the Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus today for $3,199 and get a free 400W solar panel (an $899 value) and a protective cover. Then, Anker says it’ll be available to the public starting March 12th, 2025, on the Anker website or from Amazon.
