For those looking to add to their collection of Apple rarities, a business card signed by the late Apple CEO Steve Jobs is now up for auction — just be prepared to pay a lot.
The card in question is a “highly coveted circa 1983 Apple Computer business card of Steve Jobs, which is signed neatly in black ink,” according to the listing page. It features the iconic rainbow Apple byte logo.
Don’t expect to snag it for a deal, though. At the time of publication, the auction has already surged up to $75,000 surpassing the anticipated sale of more than $60,000.
The auction is currently ongoing and will wrap up on February 20. It is part of the Remarkable Rarities auction, though it’s the only Apple-related piece up for bid.
As RR Auction points out, the cards are notably elusive and remain in high demand. The auction house has offered a total of 15 Jobs business cards, with four dating to the timeframe, with only one of the four featuring Jobs’ signature.
The other card went up for auction almost one year prior. It wound up selling for $181,183.
In January, part of iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld’s iPod collection hit the auction block. The auction included 45 iPods across various makes and models and accounted for roughly 9% of Lagerfeld’s total collection.
