Apple App Store Privacy Lawsuit Transferred to California Court


    A lawsuit against Apple Inc. for allegedly hosting a spoofed cryptocurrency app on its App Store was transferred to a California federal court.

    Senior Judge Peter J. Messitte granted the transfer motion from plaintiff Hadona Diep, who filed the motion last month to have the dispute moved from the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

    The case was transferred Dec. 29 and assigned to U.S. Magistrate Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley.
