Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak Defeats Appeal of Copyright Win


Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple Inc., convinced the Ninth Circuit on Tuesday not to revive two claims in a copyright infringement lawsuit brought against him over the idea for a “high tech university.”

  • Ralph T. Reilly sued Wozniak in Arizona in 2018, alleging he had the idea for a high-tech university that would come to be called “Woz U”
  • District court granted summary judgment against Reilly on his claim for breach of an implied-in-fact contract and judgment on the pleadings against him on his claim for money had and received
