Apple reportedly told its corporate employees the company’s face mask requirement is coming to an end. There are exceptions, though.
In March, the company removed the requirement for workers who had been vaccinated for COVID-19. After Monday’s policy change, it’s mostly come to an end for all employees.
Apple corporate employees can take off the face mask
During the worst of the pandemic, Apple employees were required to wear face masks to slow transmission of COVID-19. The disease hasn’t gone away, but new cases are at a fairly low point and the iPhone-maker is dropping the rule.
An internal email was leaked to The Verge that says, in part, “In light of current circumstances, wearing a face mask will no longer be required in most locations.”
There are still places around the world with their mask mandates. Apple employees are expected to comply with these.
And, of course, the company hasn’t banned masks. “Don’t hesitate to continue wearing a face mask if you feel more comfortable doing so.”
