Apple, Google to Face U.S. Trade Case Brought by NXP Partner

    The U.S. International Trade Commission said it’s instituted an investigation based on a complaint that accuses companies including Apple, Broadcom, Qualcomm and Dell of infringing two patents that used to belong to NXPfor power-saving features on integrated circuits.

    • Closely held Future Link Systems filed the complaint in December, seeking to block imports of a wide swath of mobile phones, computers and smart home devices by companies that don’t license the patents, including the Apple iPhone, Google’s Pixel 5 and Home Hub and the Dell Inspiron
