Apple’s next event is coming September 7 and we expect to see the iPhone 14 lineup, Apple Watch Series 8 with a larger size option, AirPods Pro 2, plus we look back at features Apple has killed along the way, and round up our favorite travel apps.
T’was the week before the iPhone 14 launch, and all about us were stirring every conceivable rumor you’ve ever imagined. The iPhone 14 Pro will replace the notch with a separate pill and hole punch cutout, or it won’t.
The iPhone 14 Pro range may or may not add satellite communications. Although even if we can’t be sure Apple will do that this week, there’s reason to be pretty certain T-Mobile and Elon Musk won’t pull it off next year as they’ve just announced.
Perhaps the most contentious of the latest batch of rumors, is that the event will include the introduction of a new Apple Watch form factor. What may be called the Apple Watch Pro could come with a bigger screen — and there are questions, then, about how this will work with existing Watch bands.
Apple is exceedingly clever at what it chooses to show us when, so we may or may not get anything other than the iPhone 14 and the Apple Watch Series 8.
But anything can happen, and there are hopes for an AirPods Pro 2.
Also, we may all be thinking about new features Apple is bringing us, but the company has famously also taken away some favorites. Plus, as we all slowly get back to travelling, it’s time to roundup some travel apps that are especially useful.
