Apple iPhone 15 series to feature titanium chassis and curved rear edges

We’ve heard a few rumours regarding the Apple iPhone 15 series. Now, a new one has come, saying that the iPhone 15 would feature a titanium chassis and sport a new rounded border design with curved rear edges, as per tipster ShrimpApplePro.

A titanium iPhone is not a new one. Before the release of the iPhone 14 series, it was suggested that the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max would come with a titanium alloy chassis. However, it did not happen. Subsequently, the feature is now expected to appear on the iPhone 15 series. Compared to stainless steel, titanium is more resistant to scratches. Apple has also recently investigated the viability of titanium casings for its products, which include patents related to the use of processed titanium with unique properties for future MacBooks, iPads, and iPhones.

Besides that, the new border design could be similar to the bottom edges on the case of Apple’s latest 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. The current generation of iPhones uses a flat-sided design with a squared-off border. However, according to the tipster, the iPhone 15 would still have a back glass, despite switching to titanium chassis and the new border design. Besides the material and design changes, the next iPhone series is also expected to bring USB-C charging port, solid-state buttons, new camera technology, and Dynamic Island for all models.
