Apple Is Working On a Second-Generation AR Headset, Analyst Says


    Apple has begun working on a second-generation augmented-reality headset, even before it launches or even acknowledges work on a first-generation product. That’s according to TFI Asset Management’s Ming-Chi Kuo, a Taiwan-based analyst who closely monitors Apple’s component suppliers, and often picks up clues to Apple’s hardware plans.

    Apple (ticker: AAPL) never discusses unannounced products, and has not disclosed plans for producing virtual- and augmented-reality hardware.
