Textured glass on iPhone 14 Pro
According to a new rumor, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will have the same “frosted glass” rear as the iPhone Pro versions, and a new color.
For the last few generations of the iPhone, Apple has traditionally reserved a textured glass panel on the back of the Pro models, while the lower-end devices have a smooth panel. The glass finish offers texture and may help reduce the buildup of fingerprints for some people.
Other rumors for the iPhone 15 include a USB-C port, the Dynamic Island introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro models, Wi-Fi 6E, two selfie cameras, and more. Apple will announce the new iPhones later in September 2023.
