Apple on board with federal privacy discussion draft


    MediaPost reports Apple CEO Tim Cook wrote a letter to U.S. Congressional commerce leaders voicing support for the American Data Privacy and Protection Act discussion draft. Cook told lawmakers the company offers “strong support” for their draft bill, which achieves the “shared goal” of “substantial protections for consumers.” Cook previously advocated for a federal privacy law, most recently at the IAPP Global Privacy Summit 2022 in Washington, D.C.
