Apple has rolled out iOS 16.7.1 and iPadOS 16.7.1 updates with important security updates for devices unable to update to iOS 17.
As anticipated, Apple has not released detailed notes for the update. As such, it isn’t clear what’s been fixed in the new version of the operating system, but it does say that the update “provides important security fixes and is recommended for all users.”
The build number on the update is 20H30.
Users running iOS 16 builds can head to Settings > General > Software update to receive the update. Users who can update to iOS 17 are strongly encouraged to do so.
With iOS 17 now available, updates for iOS 16 are restricted to security enhancements and performance optimizations.
