Apple releases iOS 18.5 beta 3

Apple has released iOS 18.5 beta 3 for developers. The pre-release iPhone and iPad software update has been light on features, although there are some small changes.

What’s new in iOS 18.5?

Changes so far include tweaks to Apple Mail categories and profile pictures.

iOS 18.5 isn’t expected to include any major new features. That’s because iOS 19 development is well underway internally, and Apple has shipped nearly all of its promised features for the iOS 18 cycle.

However, last year’s iOS 17.5 software update did include a few surprises with News+ game additions and cross-platform tracking detection for AirTag-like products.
