Apple has started to distribute the second beta of watchOS 10, with developers provided a fresh build for the Apple Watch operating system.
The second beta follows after the first, which landed on June 5 after the WWDC keynote. The second build is number 21R5295g, replacing the first, build 21R5275t.
Apple’s changes in watchOS 10 are numerous, but the highlights include widget alterations, a more easily summonable Control Center, two new watch faces, updates to cycling workouts and hiking, mental and vision health, and Fitness+ improvements.
AppleInsider and Apple strongly suggest users don’t install beta operating systems or other beta software on “mission-critical” or primary devices, as there is the small chance of issues that could result in the loss of data. Testers should instead use secondary or non-essential hardware and ensure they have sufficient backups of their critical data at all times.
