Apple shares video with more details about the new iPhone 16e

As expected, Apple on Wednesday announced a new iPhone called the “iPhone 16e,” which aims to be a more affordable option for those who want a more modern phone at a cheaper price. After publishing the press release on its website, the company also shared a video with more details about the iPhone 16e.

Introducing iPhone 16e

The 13-minute video is presented by Apple CEO Tim Cook and Kaiann Drance, VP of iPhone marketing. The video follows the same pattern as Apple’s other short videos to introduce new products, such as the M4 Macs and the latest iPad Pro.

As we previously reported, the iPhone 16e has a 6.1-inch OLED display with a notch and Face ID. The new phone also has a USB-C port and the Action Button instead of the classic mute switch. Inside, iPhone 16e is powered by the A18 chip, which enables support for Apple Intelligence features. Apple says iPhone16e is 80% faster than iPhone 11.

Another notable addition to the iPhone 16e is the C1 chip, Apple’s first wireless modem. According to Apple, the new modem is designed to be more energy efficient.

Expanding the benefits of Apple silicon, C1 is the first modem designed by Apple and the most power-efficient modem ever on an iPhone, delivering fast and reliable 5G cellular connectivity. Apple silicon — including C1 — the all-new internal design, and the advanced power management of iOS 18 all contribute to extraordinary battery life.

iPhone 16e features a 48 Megapixel single-lens rear camera with HDR, Portrait Mode, and Night Mode. It can record 4K videos at up to 60 frames per second with Spatial Audio. The front camera has a 12 megapixel sensor.
