The Apple Sports app keeps getting regular updates, and the latest one, version 2.6, brings two new additions to the app: F1 and the UEFA Women’s Champion’s League.
New Sports app update expands league and sport options
Apple’s dedicated Sports app for iPhone aims to be the best place to track scores for your favorite teams and more.
The app initially launched with support for a small number of sports, but Apple has gradually added more over time and the options are now substantial.
The latest? F1 and the UEFA Women’s Champion’s League.
Here are the official App Store release notes for today’s update:
- Now on Apple Sports, follow UEFA Women’s Champion’s League as the top teams compete for the most renowned title in European soccer.
- Calling F1 fans! Follow all the excitement on the track this season with Apple Sports, including live leaderboards, lap times, and more.
Apple adding F1 support comes ahead of the big-budget Apple TV+ F1 film coming to theaters this summer, and also the company reportedly being in talks for streaming rights.
Now that Apple has beefed up the number of sports options available inside the app, here’s hoping that iPad and Mac versions of the Sports app aren’t far behind.
You can download Apple Sports on the App Store.
