Apple is bringing a new chip for its Mac lineup, and it will be the M2 chip that was the speculated Silicon SoC that was coming last year, but ultimately got the M1 Pro and M1 Max.
The new chip will also update almost the entire Mac lineup in the company, including the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, and the Mac mini device.

According to the Bloomberg Power On Newsletter and Mark Gurman, Apple is gearing up for a 2022 lineup that will give the world the new era of the Mac. That is because the M2 chips are coming to replace 2020’s M1, which the company considers to be its pioneer release of the M-series chip that single-handedly powers the Mac.
The M2 will be available to four new Macs in Apple’s lineup, including the 13-inch MacBook Pro (last updated in 2020), 13-inch MacBook Air (last updated in 2020), 24-inch iMac (last updated in 2021), and the Mac mini CPU (last updated in 2020).
The release also remains unknown if it will drop simultaneously or be distributed throughout this year.

Apple M2: Fastest Processor Yet?
Gurman said that the M2 would bring processor powers up a notch than the M1 chips, including its variants that brought the M1 Pro and M1 Max for the 14-inch MacBook Pro.
It is safe to say that the Apple M2 chip will be the next-generation version of the Apple processor that will power future Macs.
Apple’s Mac Computers
The legendary M1 computer chip of Apple was released last November 2020 and changed the entire computer landscape of the Mac lineup from the company. The 5nm ARM-based processor is the fastest chip for a computer from Apple, which it claims to be better than previous releases with the Intel-powered Mac devices.
Since then, Apple did not look back on its use of Intel chips and changed different devices to the new Silicon chip, which the company made and also developed. The 13-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook Air were the first ones to experience the switch, alongside the refreshed Mac mini.
But the iMac’s 24-inch release with multiple colors also brought out the M1 chip for the computer.
Apple’s lineup now sells Intel-powered computers on its store and websites, but it stopped with the 2019 release.
According to the speculations of an analyst, the Cupertino giant’s Apple Mac computers will soon come with the refreshed M-series chip from the company. The release will signify the new age of Apple Macs that will usher in a new version of the Silicon chip.
