Apple has revealed the premiere date for “Dear Edward,” an Apple TV+ drama that follows a boy who survives a plane crash.
The ten-part series, based on a novel by Ann Napolitano of the same name, premieres February 3 on Apple TV+, the company tweeted Wednesday.
Announced in February, the series tells the story of Edward Adler, played by Colin O’Brien, who survives a plane crash that kills every other passenger on the flight, including his family. As he tries to make sense of his life after the tragedy, unexpected friendships, romances, and communities are formed.
“Dear Edward” is written, showrun, and executive produced by Jason Katims (“Friday Night Lights”) and marks the first series order from his overall deal with Apple TV+. Alongside O’Brien, it stars Emmy Award nominee Connie Britton (“Friday Night Lights”) and Taylor Schilling (“Orange is the New Black”).
