Apple TV+ is expanding its scripted development and programming team with the hire of 3BD Networks executive Zennen Clifton.
Clifton reportedly joined Apple in January as a creative executive reporting to Matt Cherniss, Apple’s head of development for its premium streaming platform, according to Variety.
Before joining the Cupertino tech giant, Clifton was the executive vice president of 3BD Networks at studio 3BlackDot. Prior to that, he worked as the vice president of TV and digital at global media brand MACROS.
In 2016, Clifton co-founded full-service production company No Label with NBA player Baron Davis to develop content for multicultural audiences. Since it was founded, the company has developed projects for Sony, Lionsgate, Amazon, MACRO, and Warner Horizon.
Clifton isn’t the only hire Apple TV+ has made in 2021. Back in January, Apple appointed Warner Bros executive JP Richards its head of film marketing strategy.
