Apple TV+ hits ‘Slow Horses’ and ‘Bad Sisters’ honored by UK’s Bafta

Apple TV+ has won four Bafta awards in the UK body’s technical categories, with “Slow Horses” thriller repeating its 2024 success.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (Bafta) presents the UK’s highest awards, with its TV categories resembling the Emmys. As ever, Bafta has separated its 2025 television awards into different events, and as ever, Apple TV+ has won multiple awards.

For the latest Baftas, presented in London on Sunday, April 27, 2025, the winning Apple TV+ shows were “Slow Horses”, “Bad Sisters”, and “The Velveteen Rabbit.” They won:

  • Editing: Fiction: Slow Horses
  • Sound: Fiction: Slow Horses
  • Original Music: Fiction: Bad Sisters
  • Children’s Craft Team: The Velveteen Rabbit

The “Slow Horses” wins were a repeat of the show’s success in those categories at the previous Bafta awards in 2024. Apple won four Bafta awards then as well, the with the remaining two going to “Silo.”

In 2023, “Bad Sisters” picked up the Best Titles & Graphic Identity award in these Bafta television craft categories.

Bafta’s second major television awards are the ones including the acting categories. Apple TV+ has been nominated for three acting awards, all for “Slow Horses.”

  • Supporting Actor: Christopher Chung
  • Supporting Actor: Jonathan Pryce

The acting awards will be presented on May 11, 2025, at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
