Apple TV+ shares a behind-the-scenes look at ‘The Essex Serpent’

    Apple TV+ drama “The Essex Serpent” gets a behind-the-scenes trailer showing actors explaining their character’s motivations in searching for the mythical creature.

    The Essex Serpent” is a drama series based on the novel by Sarah Perry. The behind-the-scenes trailer explains the show’s conflict and how it attempts to subvert stereotypes set in other period pieces.

    Claire Danes and Tom Hiddleston star as an unlikely pair investigating the rumors around the Essex Serpent. This mythical snake has supposedly returned and has been wreaking havoc on Essex.

    See-Saw Films is the production company making “The Essex Serpent” and is also responsible for “Slow Horses.” The miniseries is being adapted and produced by Anna Symon with director Clio Barnard.

    Apple TV+ subscribers can watch the first two episodes of “The Essex Serpent” when they premiere on May 13. Customers can subscribe for $4.99 per month or via any tier of the Apple One subscription bundle.
