Apple TV+ shows causing TV and Apple TV to turn off…

OK I’ve got a WEIRD issue I can’t seem to figure out that I think is related to CEC but I can’t figure out what would cause this specific issue.

I’ve got a new 2022 Apple TV and I realized in 16.1.1 when playing Apple TV+ content ONLY, that it starts to play for a few seconds, and then the tv flashes gray and turns off. I tried restarting it and the same behavior happens. I thought, regrettably now lol, to update it to 16.2 and now when doing the same thing both the TV and Apple TV turn off. If I turn them both back on at the same time, it just happens all over again, so what I need to do is turn on the Apple TV, and hit the home button to back it out of the TV+ app and then turn on the TV.

Match content is set to on, it handles passing Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos to my TV and soundbar just fine in EVERY OTHER APP.

Has anyone heard of this issue? I can browse the TV+ app but it seems like something being sent with the video is causing something to send a CEC command? CEC is off on the Apple TV, but on for the TV so the soundbar works properly with eARC.

Never seen anything like this.
