Apple TV+ is hitting new highs with Severance season 2, and the streamer’s success could very well continue with a new show launching soon. If early reviews are any indication, forthcoming comedy The Studio could be the next big Apple TV+ hit.
The Studio garners very high praise from critics ahead of Apple TV+ premiere
The Studio is a new comedy from Seth Rogen that debuts Wednesday, March 26 with its first two episodes.
Apple released the show’s full-length trailer on Friday, ahead of its SXSW premiere.
Now, following that premiere, reviews for the next Apple TV+ comedy have arrived. And they’re very strong.
As highlighted by Rotten Tomatoes, where the show currently has a perfect 100% score, The Studio found a lot of fans among critics.
Jacob Fisher at Discussing Film writes:
[It’s] one of the best TV shows that can be found on streaming today. Creative duo Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg showcase that their comedy roots are still thriving with their most earnest, inventive, and laugh-out-loud hilarious venture yet. When the main issue with a show is that it’s too short, someone’s doing something right.
Similarly, Judy Berman at TIME says it’s “2025’s best new show to date.” Angie Han at The Hollywood Reporter adds, “strong contender for the best new comedy of 2025.”
I want you to fetch your calendars, find March 26, strike out any plans and put a huge red circle around it, for that is the day when the best show of 2025 premieres.

I’ve been looking forward to The Studio since it was first announced, and it’s very good to hear that the show seems to absolutely live up to its hype.
With Severance’s second season wrapping up over the next couple weeks, expect Apple to push The Studio hard in an attempt to keep viewers subscribed to Apple TV+ for another month and beyond.
