Three weeks before the keynote, Apple has started to lay out what developers can expect from WWDC 2025, including the scheduling of key presentations and other sessions.
The initial announcement of WWDC in March gave a heads-up to developers to prepare for the June 9 to June 13 event. On Tuesday, Apple offered more of an insight of what to expect from the week-long developer-centric conference.
The main event in terms of updates will be the keynote, which will be held on the first day, June 9, at 10 a.m. Pacific, 1 p.m. Eastern. The keynote, which will be streamed on Apple.com, the Apple TV app, and YouTube, will play host to Apple’s key changes to its operating systems, including iOS 19 and macOS 16.
As usual, it will be followed by the Platforms State of the Union, which will air on June 9 at 1 p.m. Pacific, 4 p.m. Eastern. Apple says it will offer a deeper dive into new tools that developers will be able to use across its operating systems.
The State of the Union will be streamed via the Apple Developer website, Apple Developer app, and Apple Developer YouTube channel.
Both the keynote and State of the Union will be available on-demand after the stream ends.
Off-stream initiatives
Aside from the main two streams, Apple will be providing developers with many other ways to learn about its upcoming changes across the week.
There will be over 100 technical sessions to drill down into the various frameworks and technology changes Apple is introducing. Along with the videos presented by Apple experts, there will also be guides and documentation available for each of the changes.
Members of the Apple Developer Program and Apple Developer Enterprise Program will also be able to talk to Apple experts via online group labs and one-on-one appointments. The group labs will let developers learn about announcements in real time, and to set up appointments for further online guidance.
Apple engineers and designers will also be participating in conversations on the Apple Developer Forums.
Alongside the main program of events, Apple will also be providing the 50 Distinguished Winners of the Swift Student Challenge with access to Apple Park and a three-day experience.
