Apple is advising iPhone, iPad and Mac users to update the software on their devices immediately to protect against hackers.
The company released a security update for iOS 15.6.1 and iPadOS 15.6.1 after finding two software vulnerabilities that could lead to “arbitrary code execution.”
Apple released a second update on the same day for users of mac OS Monterey, macOS Big Sur and macOS Catalina.
The update covers all models of iPhone 6s and later, iPad Pros, iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later and seventh generation iPod touch.
The company said it was “aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited,” but did not say how the security flaw was discovered or release additional information on this issue. All it cited was “an anonymous researcher.”
