Apple is set to refresh its wearable smartwatch some time this September and it may just include a ‘Pro’ version. Furthermore, that particular variant of the Apple Watch Series 8 will also reportedly feature the first redesign since the Series 4.
This is according to reliable tipster and Apple insider Mark Gurman in his latest ‘Power On’ column on Bloomberg. According to him, the high-end model Apple Watch model will also be bigger than what consumers are used to from the tech giant and allegedly have a 7 percent larger screen.
However, Gurman said that the design will not follow Apple’s design language for most of its new devices that feature flat sides. Instead, the new design is touted to be ‘an evolution of the current rectangular shape’.
As for its features, Gurman said that the Series 8 will have a body-temperature sensor but won’t have blood-pressure monitoring. Moreover, he also claimed that the Pro model will have a casing made out of more durable formulation of titanium for extra ruggedness.
Well, do take this information with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed as of yet. Nevertheless, it’s interesting how the design will actually look like if Gurman’s claims are true.
