Ahead of Earth Day last month, Apple launched a limited-time discount program meant to encourage recycling old tech. That special offer is about to end, but here are the details so you don’t miss out.
Special recycling offer at Apple Store wraps up soon
Apple’s 10% discount offer for recycling old tech devices ends on Friday, May 16. That means there’s only one week left to take advantage of the special.
- Bring the Apple Store a qualifying piece of old tech to recycle
- Get a 10% discount on select Apple Store products
The special offer is essentially a 1-1 exchange.
You get one 10% product discount for each product recycled. In total, you can bring in up to 5 recycled products max for discounts on five purchases.
What qualifies to be exchanged? The full list is here, but essentially you can recycle all kinds of devices—and they don’t have to be Apple products. Eligible devices include hard drives, mice, keyboards, monitors, headphones, speakers, printers, and more.
As for new products you can buy with a 10% discount, Apple’s list is largely made up of accessories.
Some of the standouts that offer more significant savings include:
- Apple TV 4K
- HomePod mini
- AirPods 4 (with or without Active Noise Cancellation)
- Apple Pencil
- Magic Keyboard
- Magic Trackpad
The full list of eligible devices you can buy at a discount is available here.
