Apple’s M1 chip is an iconic product, says iPod inventor Tony Fadell


Apple Inc cofounder, the late Steve Jobs, roped in Tony Fadell in early 2001 to design a music player that could seamlessly integrate with the company’s iTunes media player, as existing MP3 players were “horrible” at doing that.

Fadell, employed initially as a “contractor” for about eight weeks, leveraged his digital audio and related work at consumer electronics giant Philips to create a prototype that went to become the iconic
