Arriving in early 2024, EA Sports FC Tactical will bring a turn-based experience to mobile

Having unveiled the new, non-FIFA-branded EA Sports FC Mobile game a few short weeks ago, EA is already back with a teaser for a new turn-based experience which is heading to the Play Store in early 2024. Turn-based soccer, I hear you say incredulously? According to EA, that’s what the new FC Tactical title will offer along with interactive simulation. If the sound of this whets your appetite join us after the break to pre-register your interest in FC Tactical.

According to the press release, FC Tactical will feature ‘strategic, turn-based gameplay and access to more than 5,000 authentic players’ from top leagues such as the Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga, and more.

Rather than relying on a players fast reflexes and split-second decision-making, FC Tactical will offer a more in-depth experience encompassing in-game strategies as well as stamina and power-play management. Hence the name of the title being ‘Tactical’. Matches are played out according to the choices you’ve made which hopefully achieve the style of play you were aiming for.

EA Sports FC Tactical includes a number of play modes with online friendlies to intense competitions, with ranked matches, leagues and guilds. Players can learn new moves, unlock new character traits, and even tweak their strategies in real-time. Needless to say, star players will feature unique animations and moves which will add to the visual experience.

While FC Tactical will be free to download, as you might expect there will be in-app-purchases available which means it’s something to keep an eye on when letting someone else play the game on your handset.

EA unfortunately hasn’t released a video showing how the game works, but it’s turn-based so we expect that it’s going to be less time-intensive than the regular Sports FC game. When a trailer does show up we’ll update the post accordingly. In the meantime, you can pre-register your interest for EA Sports FC Tactical via the Play Store Link below:

He’s been an Android fan ever since owning an HTC Hero, with the Dell Streak being his first phablet. He currently carries an Honor Magic 5 Pro in his pockets, a Xiaomi Pad 5 in his backpack, and thinks nothing of lugging a 17-inch laptop around the world.
