The year is 2024, and for the first time in a while, the Zenfone line might be coming with more than a single device. The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra will be launching this year on March 14th and I’ll admit I’m very excited to see what the company has going on.

The Asus Zenfone 9 and 10 both classify as small phones in our modern times, but those don’t appeal to everyone. It’s no too surprising then that the company is choosing to release an Ultra model which will likely come with “bigger” specs than the regular Zenfone 11 if Asus still plans to release one later in the year.

There’s an official page for the upcoming unveiling of the device which gives us a few hints as to what to expect: a big battery, a big screen, and video upgrades like better stabilization and a portrait video mode.

What Have The Leaks Told Us?

There have been leaks for the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra, and one of the most insightful was from Reddit user Td3v1l earlier this month, giving us a look at the supposed spec sheet. The quick takeaway? The Zenfone 11 Ultra may just be a slightly-modified ROG Phone 8.

It’ll be getting a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display at FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate (the ROG Phone 8 was 165Hz). Identically, it’ll run on Android 14 with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and a 5,500 mAh cell packed inside. The camera setup will be the same with a 50MP primary, 32MP 3x telephoto, and a 13MP ultrawide. The selfie shooter is also the same at 32MP. It’ll have storage options of 256GB/12GB and 512GB/16GB.

It’s not entirely the same as the ROG Phone 8 in terms of internal hardware, though close, and the design is devoid of all the gamer-centric features like RGB light, air triggers, and a second USB-C port on the side.

When Can You Tune In To The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra Launch?

From the Asus Zenfone 8 to the Zenfone 10, all had screens below 6 inches, which is considered compact these days. However, their small sizes didn’t stop them from being proper flagships, making them a perfect option for Android lovers who don’t care as much as the rest of us for gigantic phones.

But for those of us who do, the Zenfone 11 Ultra will bring a bigger model to the Zenfone lineup for the first time in a while. The Zenfone 11 Ultra is slated to launch on March 14th at 8 AM EST.
