ASUS has announced its new ProArt P16 laptop. This is a high-performance laptop that is built to handle the tough requirements of creative professionals.
These laptops are made for digital artists, graphic designers, video editors, and content creators who need powerful tools for their work while on the move. The ProArt P16 is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. This CPU has 12 cores and 24 threads, with a maximum boost speed of 5.1 GHz. The laptop also includes a powerful 50 NPU AI TOPS engine.
Tests from ASUS show it performs much better than the older AMD Ryzen 8040 series, with over 14% faster single-core performance and over 19% faster multi-core performance. When compared to a MacBook Pro with an M3 Pro chip in Cinebench R24, the ProArt P16 scored 1183, while the MacBook scored 1027. This better performance comes with lower power use, saving up to 48% power when web browsing and 56% when idle, which helps extend battery life by 13%.
The ProArt P16 also includes NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs. The highest model available has an RTX 5070, with 4608 CUDA cores, 4th generation RT Cores, and 5th generation Tensor Cores, delivering 798 TOPS of AI performance. This makes it great for heavy tasks like 3D modeling, rendering, and real-time visualization, with features like real-time ray tracing and DLSS.
One of the best features of the ProArt P16 is its 16-inch 16:10 4K ASUS Lumina OLED touchscreen. Certified with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500, it offers amazing image quality with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 0.2ms response time, and peak brightness of 500 nits.
The screen covers 100% of the DCI P3 color range, making it perfect for color sensitive work, and has a Delta E less than 1 for accurate colors. ASUS has also added technologies like ASUS Splendid, OLED Power Saving, ASUS Tru2Life, and TUV low blue light certification, along with burn-in protection and a warranty that covers free screen replacement for burn-in issues. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass NBT for better scratch resistance.
The ProArt P16 has a premium aluminum body for a sleek look and extra durability. The Nano Black finish is treated to resist smudges and keep the laptop looking clean. A hidden hinge design helps with cooling and stability. A special ASUS DialPad includes a control dial and software support, and the DialPad can be customized and works with Microsoft Wheel Device controls.
For connectivity, the ProArt P16 has USB4 Type-C ports with 40Gbps speed and 100W Power Delivery, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A ports, a full-size HDMI 2.1 port that supports 8K at 60Hz, and a full-size SD Express 7.0 card reader. It also has WiFi 7 along with ASUS’ exclusive WiFi SmartConnect. The audio system includes six speakers with Dolby Atmos and Harman Kardon certification.
