AT&T has offered fiber internet for years, but today it’s launching a new All-Fi Pro plan designed to give users valuable internet perks at no extra cost. Here are the details.
All-Fi Pro is AT&T’s latest fiber internet offering
Here are the details from AT&T’s press release:
- All-Fi Pro supercharges AT&T Fiber with our new Wi-Fi 7 gateway and an upgrade program for future equipment to keep your home network up to date.
- Expand the Wi-Fi coverage in your home with the price of extenders included (regularly $10/month).
- Level up your protection with AT&T ActiveArmor advanced internet security – now also part of All-Fi Pro (regularly $7/month).
To summarize, the core fiber internet service remains the same, but All-Fi Pro adds three bonus benefits:
- Wi-Fi 7 router, with automatic upgrades to the latest tech every 36 months
- up to five Wi-Fi extenders at no additional cost, each of which boost coverage up to 1,000 square feet
- privacy features like a VPN, ID monitoring, and more
Current customers of multi-gig AT&T fiber plans are automatically upgraded to All-Fi Pro, while customers getting 1-gig service or lower can either change plans or buy some features separately.
You can check AT&T fiber’s availability in your area and browse plan options on the company’s website.
9to5Mac’s Take
It sounds like All-Fi Pro could be a nice upgrade for customers, providing a variety of perks for modern connectivity needs. It’s also, undoubtedly, a way for AT&T to motivate upgrades to the multi-gig service plans that lots of people probably see as overkill.
