Audi just pulled the wraps off the all-new A6, giving the world a first look at its refreshed take on the business-class sedan. It’s a sharp blend of comfort and performance that’s bound to fire up longtime fans.
For Audi loyalists, there are some welcome changes—subtle nods that show the brand is learning from past missteps. The design team clearly took feedback to heart.
Not every Euro-spec feature will make it to the U.S. version, which might leave some buyers wanting more. Still, one standout detail is impossible to ignore: this is officially the most aerodynamic gas-powered Audi ever built.

The New Audi A6 Glides in With Style and Substance
The all-new Audi A6 rides on an entirely new platform, marking a fresh chapter for the nameplate. Even so, it retains just enough familiar styling cues to feel like a natural evolution of the A6 lineage.
Dimensionally, it’s close to its predecessor—roughly the same width but stretched slightly longer, now measuring 196.5 inches bumper to bumper. That added length gives it a subtly more planted presence on the road.
Design-wise, it differentiates itself from the A6 E-Tron that Audi previewed earlier this year. Key differences show up front, where the gas-powered A6 sports distinct headlights and a slightly altered fascia.
It’s also worth noting the aerodynamics: this A6 carries a drag coefficient of 0.23, just a tick higher than the E-Tron’s ultra-slick 0.21. Still, it holds the title of the most aerodynamic gas-powered Audi to date.

No need to split hairs—the new A6’s sleek design isn’t just for show. Its standout aerodynamics are set to deliver real gains in both performance and efficiency.
In the U.S., the A6 will come equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 pushing out 362 horsepower, paired with a 7-speed transmission. That’s more than enough muscle to move this executive sedan, especially with drag kept to a minimum.
But Audi knows performance alone doesn’t seal the deal. True to its roots, the A6 remains a business-class standout, loaded with modern comforts and tech.

This luxury sedan is turning heads with its upscale features, surprisingly accessible price point, and impressive performance capabilities.
A height-adjustable air suspension sets the tone for a smooth, tailored ride. Inside, there’s generous space for all passengers and a sizable trunk for good measure.
Tech-wise, the cabin confidently steps into the future. Drivers get an 11.9-inch digital gauge cluster, while a massive 14.5-inch center touchscreen and a 10.9-inch passenger display keep everything connected and customizable.
Audi says the new A6 will arrive stateside in the second half of the year. Pricing is expected to start at around $65,000.
For now, performance and efficiency figures are based on European benchmarks. As the launch date approaches, more specific U.S. specs will be released.
What Didn’t Make It Across the Pond
As expected, several standout features are reserved for the European market, leaving U.S. models without them. That includes MHEV powertrains, Matrix LED headlights, and car-to-X communication tech.
Still, the American A6 isn’t some stripped-down version lacking personality. One highlight across all variants is the return of a genuine dual exhaust setup.
Audi clearly listened to feedback about the fake tips on past models. It’s the real deal this time—hopefully with a sound to match its upgraded look.
