This makes it a perfect Pal for characters who have gone down the Warrior route, because of how Warriors typically choose to build their characters around the Counter stat.
Hipster Tortoise
The Hipster Tortoise deploys a shield equal to 30% of your character’s max HP every time you fall below 50% HP.
This pal’s special ability plays into how Warriors are the tankiest amongst all the classes, allowing them to absorb more blows, which effectively grants them more chances to deal counter damage.
Best Pals for Archers
Pirate Octopus
The Archer class tree utilizes Combo to deal to deal constant and sustained DPS to single targets. Which means the Pirate Octopuses’ ability to increase combo damage by 60%, and increase the third consecutive combo damage by 200% works perfectly when paired with an Archer.
Treasure Dragon
To maximize an Archer’s chances to perform a combo, they will typically focus on Attack Speed to proc. as many instances of combo as possible. Having quick attack speed also effectively grants your character more chances to proc a critical hit instead of a combo.
This means that the Treasure Dragon’s ability to grant 50% increase basic attack critical damage will go a long way towards dealing damage to any Archer’s targets.
Best Pals for Mages
Alpine Fox
The Alpine Fox passively extends Stun durations by 30%, and allows your character to deal an extra 25% damage against stunned targets.
This works synergistically with Mages because Mages like to build around Crowd Control due to their lack of HP. In most cases, an enemy that can reach your Mage will prove troublesome, so having a way to keep enemies at bay for longer while you rain down Skills is very significant.
Treasure Dragon
The same Treasure Dragon that is useful for Archers is also incredibly useful for Mages because of how Mages prefer to build around the Skill Crit stat. Apart from granting basic attack crit, the Treasure Dragon also grants a flat 20% increase to Skill Crit., truly making this little dragon a treasure.
Best General Pals
Warlord Hydrosprite and Slimes
The Warlord Hydrosprite has the universally useful passive of granting increased active skill energy regen.
With Skills being the main form of damage in the game, any benefits players can obtain for skill casting is a welcome boon.
Note: The Warlord Hydrosprite is the highest rarity Slime Pal, but there are also Slime Pals that belong to lower rarities. In my experience, these Slimes variant pals are still useful, even though their skill regeneration bonus is smaller than Warlord Hydrosprite’s.
Kongfu Master and Pandas
The Kongfu Master grants increased HP regeneration. Admittedly, this ability is more useful on a Warrior compared to either an Archer or a Mage. However, with healing being as limited as it is in the current version of the game, having an extra source of regeneration can be useful for any class.
Note: The Kongfu Master is the highest rarity Panda variant Pal, but there are also Panda variant Pals that belong to lower rarities. In my experience, these Panda variant pals are still useful, even though their HP regeneration bonus is smaller than Kongfu Master’s.
Tipsy Snail and Snails
Note: Similar to Kongfu Panda, the Tipsy Snail is the highest rarity variant of Snail Pals, and we’ve found that Snail Pals are still useful, even at lower rarities.
How to Get More Pals

The primary way of acquiring Pals is by using Pal Coupons or Diamonds in the pal gacha once it’s been unlocked at the store.

The Pre-registration event for Legend of Mushroom saw the developers awarding all players with the Pals, Po Kong and PlungePuff. This bodes well for upcoming events as there’s always a possibility to receive more Pals from similar events in the future!

What Are Pals?
Pets With Bonuses
Pals are equippable Pets that grant various bonuses in Legend of Mushroom. While these pals are fully animated, there is no need to feed or maintain these pals in any way.
As players, our only responsibility is to select and equip the best pals as we acquire higher and better rarities.
Conclusion
There are no de-facto ‘best’ Pals in the game, but there are certainly Pals who synergize best with certain builds and archetypes. Simply remember to select the best pals according to your character build and you should be fine!
