Best Team Comps – Wuthering Waves

Best Team Comps in Wuthering Waves

Listed below are the best team comps you can build around each Main DPS unit in Wuthering Waves:

Best Team Comps for Calcharo

Calcharo is a great DPS unit with just Jianxin and Baizhi as his supporting members, but he becomes a completely different beast and a true, top-tier DPS if you manage to get Yinlin with him on a team, courtesy of her ability to increase Electro DMG and Resonance Liberation DMG.

Calcharo doesn’t need Verina as much as he needs Yinlin, but she’s still the best-in-slot as his Support.

Best Team Comps for Jiyan

Jiyan is undoubtedly one of the best damage dealers in the game, but if you want to go even further beyond, pairing him up with Mortefi is the best way to increase his DPS, what with him buffing Jiyan’s heavy attacks and prviding solid additional damage.

Get Verina for Jiyan to make one of the best DPS teams in the game, but if you don’t have Mortefi, feel free to use Aalto as he buffs Aero DMG, as well as Yangyang for her Energy-restoring and decent healing ability (equip her with Rejuvenating Glow) if you don’t have Verina.

Best Team Comps for Lingyang

Any team with Lingyang as the Main DPS doesn’t exactly come anywhere near the top three best team comps in the game, but pairing him up with Sanhua as the Sub-DPS and Verina or Baizhi as the Support will be enough for you to enjoy Lingyang at his fullest.

Considering Lingyang’s combo-heavy playstyle, Sanhua is a must-have teammate for him because she can buff Basic attacks, not to mention she also deals a good amount of Glacio damage with enough Echo investment.

Best Team Comps for Danjin

Despite being a mere 4★ Resonator, Danjin holds the potential to absolutely demolish enemies provided you can work around her HP-draining kit with near-perfect dodges and parries.

Right off the bat, Rover (Havoc) with a Dreamless Echo completely elevates Danjin’s DPS potential as a sub-DPS, but Mortefi is a very solid second option for his sweet Heavy Attack DMG buffs.

Next, for Support, you have Verina as your first option as she’s simply the best healer in the game (you’ll need a lot of heals to keep Danjin away from being one-shotted). If you don’t have her, get Taoqi for her counters and shields instead.

Best Team Comps for Encore

Despite Encore having a slightly more complicated moveset and rotations compared to other top-tier DPS units, this Encore team can give the other best team comps in Wuthering Waves a run for their money.

Sanhua is a great pick for a sub-DPS not only because you can get this Resonator for free, but also because how well her Basic ATK-boosting kit synergizes with Encore who basically spams basic attacks before and during her Resonance Liberation.

Of course, Verina is still the best Support option for Encore (just like how it is for every single best team comp in the game), but Yangyang is a great pick as well considering how she allows Encore to activate her Resonance Liberation faster.

Best Team Comps for Rover (Havoc)

Rover (Havoc) can be unlocked after the final quest of Huanglong Chapter 1 – Grand Warstorm, which makes your main character a fantastic Main DPS despite being a free unit.

Getting Danjin as his sub-DPS and equipping both of them with Dreamless Echo is an easy way to dish out tons of DPS, but using either Jianxin or Sanhua instead would be fine just for the damage buffs they can give your MC.

As always, your first pick for the Support role is Verina, followed by either Baizhi who’s a good budget healer and Taoqi who can further increase Rover’s Resonance Skill DMG output.

How to Build a Team in Wuthering Waves

If you want to make the best team comps in Wuthering Waves, the most important thing you should remember is to build your team around a Main DPS while considering various factors such as Outro Skills, Intro Skills, Attributes, and healing/buffing capabilities from other teammates.

As you can see above, a team should always have a Main DPS, followed by a Support and either a second Support if you want to use your Main DPS as a hypercarry or a Sub-DPS if otherwise.

The easiest way to build a good team is to look at your Resonators’ Outro Skills and see if they compliment each other (especially your Main DPS) well, which you can easily do by clicking the “View Outro Skills” button from the Team page.

We recommend reading each Resonator’s skill descriptions as well, but knowing their Outro Skills alone will allow you to make great team comps, provided you use your Reasonators the way their roles intended.
