Bethesda Game Studios’ upcoming science-fiction adventure Starfield is a ways off, but the studio is releasing steady teases and snippets, including a recent look at the robot companion Vasco.

While this robot buddy has been seen in Starfield videos before now, Bethesda officially shared that the robot is named Vasco with a new video released Tuesday. You can watch the quick clip below:

“Vasco does have defensive capabilities, should the need arise, but his primary role is peaceful,” says Istvan Pely, lead artist at Bethesda Game Studios. Described as a “reliable” companion, Vasco is a Constellation robot that’ll help accompany the player on their journeys through the dangers and wonders of space travel.

Starfield is scheduled to arrive on Nov. 11, 2022, exactly eleven years after the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The game is an Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S console exclusive, the first Bethesda Game Studios title to be released since Microsoft acquired ZeniMax Media.
