Bitcoin bulls successfully defend $27,800


The cryptocurrency market cap saw net inflows of $9.8 billion over the last 24 hours and currently stands at $1.17 trillion — up 0.8% from $1.16 trillion.

During the reporting period, the market caps of Bitcoin and Ethereum decreased by 1.2% and 1.7% to $542.1 billion and $218.9 billion, respectively.

The top 10 cryptocurrencies recorded mixed results over the last 24 hours. Leading the losses were Dogecoin and Cardano, down 3.5% and 3.2%, respectively. In contrast, Ethereum and Bitcoin posted marginal gains at 1.7% and 1.2%, respectively.

In the last 24 hours, the market cap of Tether (USDT) increased to $78.56 billion. Meanwhile, USD Coin (USDC) fell to $34.4 billion, and Binance USD (BUSD) held flat at $8.06 billion.

Bitcoin

In the last 24 hours, Bitcoin increased by 1.2% to trade at $28,024 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance grew to 46.3% from 46.1%.

During the reporting period, buyers lifted BTC to peak at $28,742. A rejection at this price led to a staggered downtrend that retested the approximate $27,780 support level on three successive occasions. The leading cryptocurrency has since been ranging between $27,956 and $28,449.

Ethereum

Over the last 24 hours, Ethereum grew 1.7% to trade at $1,787 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance increased to 18.7% from 18.5%.

During the reporting period, Ethereum topped out at $1,857 before trending down. At 04:00 (ET,) a rejection at $1,817 was followed by a spill that bottomed at $1,777.

SURE surged 14.6% to $0.00497 as of press time. The token is up 62% over the last week. Its market cap stood at $133.24 million.

MASK is among the day’s top gainers after increasing 12.8% to $6.17511 at the time of writing. The token is up 55.8% over the past month. Its market cap stood at $470.23 million.

JOE

JOE is up 11.8% to $0.43122 as of press time. The token is up 90.8% over the past week. Its market cap stood at $145.08 million.

Arbitrum

ARB is the day’s biggest loser, falling 87.5% to trade at $1.47745 at the time of writing. The project recently completed its airdrop. Its market cap stood at $1.88 billion.

HEX

HEX is down 20.8% to $0.10011. The token was yesterday’s top gainer due to the V3 testnet launch of its sister chain PulseChain. Its market cap stood at $17.36 billion.

MAGIC

MAGIC fell 10.8% to $1.56212 at the time of press. Its market cap stood at $331.95 million.

RSK Infrastructure Framework

RIF decreased 10.4% to $0.13933 over the reporting period. The token is down 22.8% over the past week. Its market cap stood at $132.83 million.

Conflux Network

CFX plunged 10.5% to $0.34329 over the reporting period. The project recently partnered with China Telecom for blockchain-enabled SIM cards. Its market cap stood at $912.06 million.
