Bitcoin crashed last time it hit all-time high, what about this time? Lyn Alden

Last time Bitcoin hit an all-time high in 2017, the price corrected and stayed flat for 2 years before regaining momentum in 2020. Lyn Alden, founder of Lyn Alden Investment Strategy, said that there are too few historical precedents to draw from in order to conclude that this time will be the same.

“[A crypto winter] certainly could happen. There are a couple of factors that I think are different this time. Remember, that’s a pretty small sample size. Bitcoin’s been around for 12, 13 years and then it goes through these 4-year halving cycles. Those winters occurred in the second half of the halving cycle. We’re talking about a sample size of like, three,” Alden told David Lin, anchor for Kitco News.
