President Donald Trump confirmed that he plans on creating a much-rumored strategic cryptocurrency reserve on Sunday, sending slumping prices surging before a chunk of the gains were sold off Monday.
Trump somewhat surprisingly announced on his Truth Social platform that the long-awaited reserve would not just hold bitcoin, but ethereum, XRP, cardano and solana, as well.
‘A US Crypto Reserve will elevate this critical industry after years of corrupt attacks by the Biden Administration, which is why my Executive Order on Digital Assets directed the Presidential Working Group to move forward on a Crypto Strategic Reserve that includes XRP, SOL, and ADA,’ Trump posted.
