Bitcoin price has today dropped in the $82k range as it continues trading in a downtrend and falls 4% from the daily high of $85,500 to as low as $82,300 on leading crypto exchanges. Following Bitcoin, ETH and several other altcoins are fumbling in high volatility.
Ahead of the weekend, Bitcoin price is going through increased volatility with the overall crypto market seeing bearish momentum. Due to lack of any significant news, Bitcoin and leading altcoins are losing their strength while pulling back to monthly lows.
At the time of writing, BTC price is trading near $82,028 – down 3.57% in the past 24 hours – with a 24 hour trading volume of $27.06 billion.
ETH & Other Altcoins Fumble
The increased selling pressure has put ETH on an aisle today with it dropping to $1,837 while traders were expecting it to recover $2,000 during the weekend. In the past 7 days, ETH price has declined by 7.77% from the weekly high of $2,100, it marked on 24 March.
Other major altcoins – including XRP, SOL, ADA and DOGE – have also declined significantly in the past 24 hours. XRP and DOGE have dropped over 6.5% while SOL, BNB and ADA have witnessed 5% decline in their respective market price.
In the top 100 list, none of the crypto assets have notable growth today while other low caps gained over 5% – including LAYER, MEW, GRASS, FTT and others. On the losing side, S (Sonic) is leading with dropping 13% – followed by TAO’s 12% decline. Most of the altcoins – including CRV, BONK, WLD, CAKE, TIA, and KAS – have dropped nearly 10% in the past 24 hours.
