Senator Cynthia Lummis says she wants to convert excess reserves at the 12 Federal Reserve banks into bitcoin over five years.
Lummis is at the Bitcoin 2024 conference, where she is all in on extracting money from the crowd. She is quite sucessful too, top donors have tipped money into her campaign. She is able to pander to them with such empty promises because she is not up for re-election until 2026 and can easily dodge and weave until then.
