Investing.com — Bitcoin could soar to $250,000 by the end of 2025, according to Tom Lee, Head of Research at Fundstrat Global Advisors.
Despite recent fluctuations, Lee maintains a bullish outlook on the cryptocurrency’s long-term prospects.
Speaking to CNBC, Lee acknowledged the possibility of a short-term correction but emphasized that such volatility is typical for bitcoin.
Lee noted that is down 15% from its highs but said it is a volatile asset and it “is a normal correction.”
Bitcoin is up moe than 2% Tuesday, trading around $96,555. However, it is down from its December high.
Lee highlighted key support levels, pointing to $70,000 as a critical threshold. Should bitcoin break below $70,000, he mentioned the $50,000 level could be tested.
Despite these short-term fluctuations, Lee remains confident in bitcoin’s future, projecting it could hit between $200,000 and $250,000 by the end of 2025.
The current price, in and around $90,000, is seen as a “good entry point” for long-term investors.
“I don’t think anyone is going to lose money buying here at $90,000. If they’re trying to time this, maybe they get lucky, and it goes to $70,000,” Lee told CNBC.
He believes Bitcoin will be one of the standout assets for 2025, underscoring his optimism for the cryptocurrency’s long-term performance.
