Mary Elizabeth Truss has been announced as the 56th Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland as the conservatives manage to deliver a third woman for the top job. Labour remains at none.
Sir Graham Brady, the Chairman of the 1922 Committee, announced 172,000 votes had been cast by conservative party members at an 82% turnout.
