Horsley 2025 Outlook for Bitcoin
First, Horsley speculated that Bitcoin ETFs could attract significant inflows in 2025. It’s widely known that investors have already pumped substantial capital into various Bitcoin ETFs since their launch last year.
Data from Farside indicate that these products have attracted inflows totaling $40.12 billion.
Despite this outstanding feat, Horsley expects more capital to flow into Bitcoin ETFs. Earlier this month, Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan projected that this year’s Bitcoin ETF inflows could spike above $50 billion, surpassing its 2024 record of $35.2 billion.
Corporate Bitcoin Acquisition
In addition, Horsley forecasted that more companies will buy Bitcoin, potentially adding the asset to their balance sheets this year. This move could see more firms follow in the footsteps of MicroStrategy, which has purchased over 471,100 BTC since August 2020.
National Adoption
Also, the Bitwise CEO expects more countries to purchase Bitcoin this year, possibly as a strategic reserve asset. This effort is similar to how El Salvador acquired Bitcoin in 2021, growing its holdings to 6,011 BTC as of today.
Meanwhile, other countries, including the United States, are considering adopting Bitcoin as a hedge against economic uncertainties.
Increased Participation Among Financial Institutions
Fourth, Horsley speculated that wealth management companies in the United States could invest in Bitcoin on behalf of their clients this year.
For his fifth expectation, the Bitwise CEO forecasted that more banks and financial institutions could launch different services to help clients gain access to Bitcoin. This move will potentially bridge the gap between traditional finance and crypto.
Regulatory Clarity
Sixth, Horsley predicted regulators could establish regulatory clarity for Bitcoin in 2025. Several countries are already making efforts to provide the much-needed clarity for the crypto industry.
For instance, President Donald Trump created a working group in the United States to establish a federal regulatory framework for the digital asset market.
Positive Macroeconomic Factors and High-Profile Bitcoin Endorsements
Seventh, the Bitwise CEO predicted that several macroeconomic factors, such as monetary policy and geopolitics, could potentially drive Bitcoin’s demand.
Lastly, according to Horsley, Bitcoin could gain more high-profile endorsements in 2025. This could come from prominent business leaders and policymakers.
