With the recent integration of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, there are many new weapons available for fans of the Battle Royale. The AK-74u is a fantastic SMG, and it can become even deadlier with a few attachments.
Black Ops Season 1 is finally here, and now that the game has fully integrated with Warzone, there is a great assortment of new weapons available in Vedansk. These are suited for different combat situations, and if you prefer to meet your enemies head-on, you will benefit from sticking with SMGs.
There are various submachine guns in the game that have won fans over, but a trendy choice is the AK-74u. The Cold War version of this SMG resembles the one from Black Ops III, but with an added folding stock and Bakelite magazine.
This weapon has great accuracy and is ideal for close combat, but you can make it even better by equipping a few attachments. Here’s the best AK-74u loadout in Warzone.
Best AK-74u loadout in Warzone
This AK-74u’s main strengths are its accuracy, rate of fire and range. This loadout will focus on further improving these characteristics, while increasing ADS speed, movement and recoil control.
Equip the weapon with the following attachments:
- Muzzle: Spetsnaz Compensator,
- Barrel: 9.3” Extended
- Stock: Tactical Stock
- Handle: Quickdraw Handle
- Ammunition: 40 Rnd Drum
We’ll add the Spetsnaz Compensator to increase vertical recoil control. Alternatively, you can always go for the GRU Suppressor or remove the muzzle entirely. This is because these suppressors don’t offer the bullet velocity boost that you’d get from Modern Warfare’s Monolithic Suppressor.
You’ll be running and gunning a lot when playing with an SMG, so you need to be fast to react. The Tactical Stock and Quickdraw handle will give you a boost to your movement speed while aiming and make improve your ADS speed.
Alternatively, you could make the Spetsnaz Field Grip your Handle to improve your ADS and flinch resistance at the cost of the sprint to fire time. This way, you can immediately take out any foe who jumps out of the corner.
We’ll cap this loadout off with the ammunition. The AK-74u’s high fire rate makes it absolutely lethal, so the 40 Rnd Drum ammo will go along nicely with that.
We based this AK-74u loadout on what common ones that you’d see for SMGs in Modern Warfare. This gun can be considered extremely overpowered on its own, and these attachments make it even more of a threat.
