Finally, it’s all here — or at least the announcement is. As we wait to get our hands on the new iPhone 16, Apple Watch, and AirPods, here’s what is getting us excited about this year’s launches.

One of your hosts has already gone through the kind of pre-pre-order so that he can just click three buttons once the Apple Store is back up. And the other still needs to be persuaded.

That’s because for all the new features Apple showed us, this year it feels like the decision to upgrade is much finer than usual. There are strong arguments to stay on the iPhone 15 range, for instance, but reasonable arguments not to.

Then of course if you have a much older iPhone, Apple Watch, or AirPods, then this year’s lineup is actually compelling.

Perhaps surprisingly since this was an iPhone launch, the most compelling new device could be the AirPods lineup. As well as the excellent hearing health features, the new range seems to hit most price points — and offer good features at each.
