Caviar Launches A Cybertruck Edition S24 Ultra For Nearly $9k

The Samsung S24 Ultra Cyber From Caviar Starts At About $8,800

Caviar is not new to ridiculous custom smartphones. Do you remember when they made the 24K Vladimir Putin iPhone to celebrate the man’s re-election? I do. So when you hear that a company made a custom Cybertruck-themed S24 Ultra, it shouldn’t be too surprising to hear that it was Caviar at the wheel.

Personally, from a “that’s certainly different” perspective, I applaud the effort that went into the phone. It’s easy to tell that the Tesla Cybertruck was the inspiration here. But from a “does it look good” perspective, I say no. You’ll stand out, that’s for sure, but are you ready to pay $8,770 for the 256GB version of an unattractive device? The design is entirely titanium, with colored enamel for the accents.

There will only be 99 units sold (the fewer, the better), and the price goes as high as $9,490 if you want 1TB of storage. If you’re reading this and actually considering going for it, you’ll get 15% off if you decide to pay with crypto. It’s also available in an S23 Ultra model if you want to save a few extra bucks (or maybe you don’t like flat screens as much as you like flat cars).

Such “Blinged-Out” Smartphones Are Far From A New Thing

Back when I was still waiting to get my first flagship phone, I remember reading news stories about ridiculous custom models of Apple iPhones. One name that popped up often was Caviar. The Cybertruck S24 Ultra is certainly ridiculous, but they’ve done many more ridiculous things in the past.

For instance, you can get a custom iPhone 15 Pro Max done up in 18K white gold and with diamonds all over the back for over half a million dollars. That’s their most expensive offering, but if you want something a bit cheaper, how about the same phone but with a Rolex Daytona melded into the back?

Most custom companies like this focus on iPhones but occasionally turn their attention to Samsung. There’s an 18K gold S24 Ultra with diamonds on the back that costs $75,000, and other companies have done gold Samsungs before, as far back as the S7. I can’t imagine anyone who is unironically in line for a Cybertruck S24 Ultra, but Caviar has been around for quite some time now, so I reckon they have their customers.
